The combination of the raw materials cork, beech wood and glass fibre offers optimum protection.

Delignit FiberCork in use

Delignit FiberCork is a multi-layer material that has been specially developed for the thermal protection of batteries in electric vehicles.

Battery electric vehicles and battery storage systems carry a high risk of the battery cell overheating in an uncontrolled manner, which can lead to thermal runaway of the battery.

The combination of beech wood, cork and glass fibre offers impressive thermal protection, effectively protecting both the car and its occupants from overheating and fire.

Delignit FiberCork can be specially adapted to customer-specific requirements as it is produced as a material panel and also as a moulded part.
